Dunning-Foubert Elementary School is located at 1610 Prestwick Drive in Orleans. It was the first school located in Cumberland Township to offer Early French Immersion to residents of Cumberland. The school opened in 1981 and expanded in 1985 to its present size. The school is named after two of the founding families of the Cumberland area; Dunning and Foubert.

Dunning-Foubert began as a K to 5 structure. After the addition was constructed, intermediate students were welcomed. By 1987-88 the school grew to over 900 students along with 15 portable classrooms. At that time it was the largest French Immersion centre in Canada.

Dunning-Foubert is a school dedicated to providing the best possible French Immersion and regular English programs. The staff devotes considerable time and energy in keeping abreast of current trends in education through Arts, Music, and Technology projects.
